På elmarkedet har Energitilsynet ansvaret for reguleringen af elselskaber med bevilling til at drive distribution, regional transmission, transmission (Energinet.dk) og handel med forsyningspligt.
International Cooperation
The DERA secretariat is actively working to progress international energy cooperation.
In the Nordic region, the five Nordic energy regulators meet in an organisation called NordREG. NordREG only deals with electricity issues.
On the European scene, the regulatory cooperation is anchored in CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators) and in ERGEG (European Regulators Group for Electricity and Gas).
The European regulatory cooperation works to develop the internal European electricity and natural gas markets.
The new European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) will come into force on 3rd March 2011, and DERA - as national regulator - will also have to participate in the ACER cooperation.
It is the DERA secretariat who participates in the international cooperation.
